I just hit my new MX-25s on the range (from the grass) yesterday. The low center of gravity will really help the average female golfer get the ball airborne. I am a sweeper--I do not take a divot, and I was still able to get the ball in the air. The X-shape mass behind the club-face gives a solid feel. Shooting in the 100s, I am a somewhat inconsistent ball striker.

When I hit the ball out on the very toe, the ball went dead right as expected, but I didn't get any harsh vibration--it just felt a little heavy, just enough feedback to let me know I didn't hit it solidly. When I hit the ball toward the toe, but still on the grooved region, the ball went reasonably straight but with some distance lost. When I hit on the heel, the ball flight was straight with considerable distance lost and a heavy feel, but no vibration. I was able to hit on the sweetspot most of the time, and the result was a soft feel, and the ball flight was delightfully long and straight away.

I love these clubs. I've been playing recreationally since 2004. I got the Mizuno's 4-PW, brand new on eBay for $499. I have since found men's matching gap and sand wedges that I will be sending to Mizuno to get re-shafted with the ladies Exsar IS2 shaft. The wedges are difficult to find in lady flex. If you are a mid to high handicapper who is interested in improving your ball striking and want to try a forged iron with accuracy and superior feel, the MX-25s are an excellent choice. You will have to concentrate on hitting the ball solidly on the sweetspot, but the results are worth it.

If you just want to enjoy the game and aren't interested in feedback that much, get the Ping Rapture irons (ultra game improvement wide soles). The Raptures are good irons, but are two chunky looking for my taste, though they are more forgiving of mis-hits than the MX-25s. The MX-25s don't have too much offset, about 0.2 inches in the four iron, and it decreases from there. They look more like a blade at address. I love the look of them--they inspire confidence, and I love the feel. For low handicappers, you should have no problems with the MX-25s, but the younger more aggresive players might prefer the MP57s or MP60s. I think most women,seniors, and less aggresive male players will find the MX-25s to be an excellent club. The MX-25s are being replaced this Fall (2008) by the new MX-200s which look very similar (and blue), but have a Y-shaped mass behind the face instead of an X which is supposed to be more forgiving on toe hits. The MX-25s can be found on eBay, in golf shops, and at the online stores for close-out prices right now. I highly recommend them. Enjoy you game!

They replaced my graphite-shafted Mizuno MX-23's (which I LOVED). I'm a 15 handicap, 5'7", 210, 59 years young. I seldom try to "work" the ball and only play 10-12 rounds each summer. I have always been a good iron player including long irons (I purchased a 2-iron to go along with this 3-PW set) although I bought a Bobby Jones hybrid this year that has so far, replaced the 2-iron.

I wouldn't trade these MP-32's for anything. In fact, I keep looking for another set with Regular shafts to buy as a backup for the day these puppies wear out. There is no better feel in golf than hitting Mizuno forged irons on the sweet spot..."like a knife through butter" and it's true!

No need to be a scratch golfer to play these. You'll find the accuracy of your shots will quickly improve within 2-3 rounds. You'll also have almost perfect distance control. I hit my 7-iron 150 yards (which is why I use regular shafts) with almost perfect 10-yard increments on each club (2-iron = 200 yards, down to the PW = 120 yards). When the SkyCaddy says 162, I aim for the pin, swing a smooth 6-iron and let the CLUB do the work. The MP-32's will improve the iron play part of your game immensely. BUY THEM!!!

I previously played the Mizuno MP 30 blades which are very nice. But even as a single digit player, I found them unforgiving to the point that badly hit shots were a near total waste. The 30s due give a lot of feedback, but with the 57s you'll still know when you are a groove or 2 off without the sting of a miss hit blade.

What you will get is considerably more forgiveness which will translate into several shots a round being salvagable rather than the disasters they would be with a blade. I'm always a bit mystified by reviewers who go on about the looks of their irons and claim to want a lot of "workability." The latter comes from knowing your swing; most of us would just like to hit the ball straight and the 57s are excellent for that even with slight miss hits.

The sweet spot being distinctly bigger than the blades. Most players would do well to note that PGA pros increasingly play cavity backs or hybrids between blades and cavity backs--there's a reason for that. Golf is about consistency and these irons go a long way toward reaching that goal.

The ball flight is high, but not overly so and it's quite easy to alter trajectory with these clubs. A pleasure in the hand and at impact, there irons are beautifully weighted. I did have these clubs fit and it turns out I take a stock club (with the stock steel shaft) with just a little added length. But fitting is easily obtained and worth it. I would enthusiastically recommend these irons to golfers serious about improving their ball striking.

They came with 5.0 Rifle Flighted shafts. I've played them all summer, and am very pleased.

Firstly, I would like to thank all for the very accurate reviews. These irons all that they were 'cracked up to be' in all the other glowing 5 star reviews. They are first class in look, feel and performance!!! I have used many different irons, but these are definitely the best I've ever come across. I was nervous going to blades, because I was a Ping and Callaway loyalist for 15+ years. But these Blades are quite forgiving and a lot more playable than other blades I've demo-ed.

One of the nicest attributes of these clubs is that they are very useful in the short game. They are very good irons for chipping. When I'd chip with my callaway x-16's, there was very little feedback or feel...and very clunky. Quite the opposite with the mp60s.

Also, half-shots are very good with the mp-60's. On windy days, I can very confidently hit a 110 yard bump-and-run 7i and get it within 20 feet, more times than not.

In the long game...ditto for what all the rest say!!! What I also found nice about these clubs are that they are very forgiving with thin shots. One of my mistakes is often hitting thin shots ...2 or 3 a round. With these clubs, the ball pretty much goes where intended...albeit sometimes a bit longer. But still ' a good bad shot '

Overall, an excellent club!

I was also impressed with the high ball flight i had a 9 degree yet it flew higher than my 11.If i could afford the driver i would go out and by it in a minute (as i am only 15 i cant afford to spend my money on it and my parents are too cheap).

On average i would normally drive about 240 meters but with the cobra i got about an extra 20 meters. On one hole i hit i thought a terrible drive almost missing the ball on the heel but to my surprise i looked up and the ball was traveling smoothly down the middle. I would definitely recommend this driver to anyone who plays the game of golf. I have tried the 975j and the cobra far surpasses that and practically matches the new taylormade 540r(which is an extra $300 at least. All in all the is a great club which i strongly recommend.

I was not in the market for a driver at the time, but happened to hit one at a demo day. I could not believe how straight and long it was. At the same demo, I tried the Nike SasQuatch and Titleist 905R. No comparison. In fact, I hit my old Taylormade 360 Ti better than those two.

I waited for another demo day, so I could bring my old driver for comparison. I really liked my TM 360, but was now intrigued with the HS9. Sure enough, I hit the Cobra better than my TM 360. At that second demo, I also tried the Cobra LD F Speed. I did not like it much.

I have now hit the Cobra HS9 for 3 months. It has changed my game. I now hit average drives of 280-285 yds, while before I was around 255-265 yds. I also don't get the occasional slice or hook that would cost me an OB.

Shot 78 yesterday. I can tell you the Cobra HS9 had much to do with it since I was either chipping or hitting wedges on all par 4s

The first time I took them out to the range, I struggled a bit and was a little disappointed with them. I had to get used to nice clubs and graphite shafts, I think. I hit a 200 yard 5 iron shot today at the course, clearing the green, so I still need to get used to the distance they're capable of. Nice trajectory too. Very straight and accurate.

These will definitely knock some strokes off my game. Even better than the clubs themselves is the price. I still can't believe what an awesome deal I got on these clubs, brand new, the box's msrp said $1000, I got them for $650 less. My friend who's a scratch golfer hit them and went out and bought a new set to replace his Firesoles, so they're great for any level golfer I guess. If you're looking for new clubs (and even if you're not)go out and give these a try.

The feel at impact is amazing... very pure feel... as if you aren't even hitting anything. Sweet spot is largest around and they are very forgiving. Ball is easily worked right to left, left to right. I improved 10 strokes in about 10 rounds. And the price is the best part. I got them with the Cobra HM Aldila shafts for $200 on Ebay. With the new Inertia irons being released by Cobra you can pick up a set on for next to nothing. I highly recommend these 2 the 10+ handicapper, looking for a great set of irons.

I ended up with a 4+ wood (yeah, I've never heard of it either) because it was going for cheap on eBay. But, it's only a degree or two more loft than a regular 3-wood, and the difference between the two seems to be negligable.

This club is super-easy to hit from anywhere. Whereas I had trouble off the tee or in the rough with my Tight Lies, this Cobra will give you amazing shots from anywhere. And most importantly, straight as a dime. Even for those of us that have had slicing problems in the past, this club seems to all but cure it.

If I'm shooting into a tight fairway I don't have to use my 3-iron and give up that much distance, I can use this SZ and nail it straight and only about 30 yards shorter than with my driver. And the sound and feel of hitting this club is like no other I've tried. Cobra truely makes great drivers and woods.

1. The 427cc head is gorgeous to look at. Cobra did a fantastic job on the quality of the paint job and the design. This great design does not make the 427 cc size overpowering at all at address.

2. I tend to hit my drives very straight. The 2 degrees closed face has NOT caused me to hook the ball, in fact I have found it very easy to draw and fade.

3. Cobra chose a very reputable shaft maker and had UST make a quality shaft for them. I was though very surprised with the shaft's high torque rating. Everything I have read states that the larger the club head the more likely the shaft will twist during the swing (lower torque needed to prevent twisting). I demoed the club with the stock shaft and was semi-erratic with it so I reshafted with the HARRISON 2.5 and what a difference it has made. A PERFECT match made in heaven for those of you who would like to hit the ball straight, long, and with a perfect trajectory.

Pro's: Design, looks, Very HOT face, INCREDIBLY FORGIVING and HUGE sweetspot. This club is CONFORMING to USGA guidelines.

Con's: High torque shaft, club fits too tight in headcover. Cobra needs to make a larger headcover.

Results: 13/14 fairways hit during my first round with it after reshafting. My drives were dead straight and with a perfect trajectory(med-high)and lots of roll. I easily have gained 20 - 30 yards.

Comparison: For those of you wondering if the Taylormade R580 is longer and more forgiving, the answer is NO. In fact the Cobra is longer and more forgiving than both the conforming and non conforming versions. I have owned both and I have never driven the ball as far and as straight as with the COBRA.
